Ingredients

1 package (16 oz) frozen pierogi (potato and cheese filling recommended)

1 lb turkey sausage, sliced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 medium onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup spinach, chopped

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)

Instructions

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced turkey sausage and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.

Stir in the chopped spinach and cook until wilted, about 2 minutes.

Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, and bring to a gentle simmer.

Add the dried thyme, paprika, and season with salt and pepper. Mix well to combine.

Carefully add the frozen pierogi to the skillet, gently stirring them into the sauce. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, or until the pierogi are heated through and tender, stirring occasionally.

Return the cooked turkey sausage to the skillet and mix until everything is combined and heated through.

Adjust seasoning if necessary, and remove from heat once warmed.

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the dish directly from the skillet, garnished with freshly chopped parsley. Optionally, top with grated Parmesan cheese for added flavor.
