Begin by washing the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves under cold water. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
Take a skewer or toothpick, and thread one cherry tomato onto it, followed by a basil leaf, and then a mozzarella ball. Repeat this until you have 3 sets per skewer (or as desired).
Place the prepared skewers on a serving platter.
In a small bowl, mix the extra virgin olive oil with salt and pepper to your taste. Drizzle the mixture over the skewers.
Finally, drizzle the balsamic glaze generously over the top of the skewers for added flavor and presentation.
Notes
Arrange the skewers in a standing position in a tall glass or vase for an impressive display, and garnish with additional basil leaves around the platter. Enjoy them as a fresh appetizer or snack!
