2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions
 

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

    Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 2 minutes, until fragrant and golden.

      Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir to combine.

        Sprinkle in the sugar, oregano, and dried basil; mix well.

          Season with salt and pepper to taste, and bring the sauce to a gentle simmer.

            Let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.

              Stir in the fresh basil and balsamic vinegar, continuing to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.

                Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before removing from heat.

                  Serve the sauce over cooked ravioli and finish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese on top.
