Ingredients

1 large baguette or ciabatta loaf

6 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for a kick)

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped rosemary, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.

Slice the baguette or ciabatta in half lengthwise to create two large halves.

Generously spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread, ensuring an even coating from edge to edge.

If using, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the buttered surfaces.

Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cut side up, and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.

For an extra crispy texture, you can broil the bread for an additional 2-3 minutes. Keep an eye on it to avoid burning!

Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before slicing into individual pieces.
