Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

4 sub rolls

1 cup marinara sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

3 tablespoons butter, melted

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Make Meatballs: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, minced garlic, egg, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.

Bake Meatballs: Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes, until cooked through.

Prepare the Garlic Bread: While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sub rolls. Cut the sub rolls in half lengthwise. Brush the cut sides with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder.

Toast the Sub Rolls: Place the prepared sub rolls on a baking sheet, cut side up, and toast in the oven for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.

Assemble the Subs: Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven. Place 3-4 meatballs on each toasted roll, spoon marinara sauce generously over the meatballs, and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.

Melt Cheese: Return the assembled subs to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm.
