Ingredients

8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine

6 tablespoons unsalted butter

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and pepper, to taste

Zest of 1 lemon

Juice of 1/2 lemon

Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, then cook the spaghetti or fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for about 2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and golden (be careful not to burn it).

Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and sauté for another 3-4 minutes until they soften slightly.

Toss the drained pasta into the skillet with the garlic butter sauce, adding a bit of the reserved pasta water to create a silky texture.

Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Mix well to combine and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Remove from heat and fold in the freshly chopped parsley, ensuring all ingredients are well incorporated.
