Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels, then place them in a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, parsley, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.
Pour the garlic butter mixture over the chicken wings and toss until they are all well coated. If you like a bit of heat, add in some red pepper flakes to taste.
Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden-brown and crispy.
Once out of the oven, give them a final toss in the garlic butter mixture (if any remains) and let them rest for a few minutes.
Plate the wings on a serving platter and sprinkle with extra Parmesan and parsley for garnish.
Notes
For extra heat, add red pepper flakes to the garlic butter mixture.
