Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set this mixture aside.

      Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes using a hand mixer or stand mixer.

        Add Egg and Flavors: Add in the egg, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture. Beat until well combined.
