2 lbs beef tenderloin, trimmed

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped

2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

    In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, thyme, parsley, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Stir well until all ingredients are fully blended to create the herb butter.

      Rub the beef tenderloin generously with olive oil, then season it all over with salt and pepper.

        Carefully spread half of the herb butter mixture over the top and sides of the beef tenderloin.

          Place the tenderloin on a roasting rack inside a baking dish to allow even cooking.

            Roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes for medium-rare (135°F or 57°C internal temperature), or to your desired doneness.

              Halfway through, carefully spread the remaining herb butter over the roast to keep it moist and flavorful.

                Once done, remove the tenderloin from the oven, cover it with aluminum foil, and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing to retain its juices.

                  Slice into thick portions and serve accompanied by your favorite sides.
