Ingredients

3 ripe avocados

1 medium red onion, finely chopped

1 medium tomato, diced

1-2 jalapeños, seeded and minced (adjust for spice preference)

3 garlic cloves, minced

Juice of 2 limes

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 teaspoon cumin (optional)

Instructions

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium mixing bowl.

Using a fork or potato masher, smash the avocados until you achieve your desired level of creaminess (smooth or slightly chunky).

Add the finely chopped red onion, diced tomato, minced jalapeños, and minced garlic to the bowl of avocado.

Pour in the lime juice and add the chopped cilantro. If using, sprinkle in the cumin for an extra layer of flavor.

Season the mixture generously with salt and pepper.

Gently fold all the ingredients together, ensuring they are well combined but not over-mixed.

Taste the guacamole and adjust the seasoning or lime juice if necessary.

For the best flavor, let the guacamole sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving.
