2 slices of sourdough bread

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1 medium ripe peach, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Fresh basil leaves (optional)

Salt to taste

Prepare the Ingredients: Begin by slicing the peach thinly and shredding the white cheddar cheese. Set aside.

    Butter the Bread: Spread 1 tablespoon of butter evenly on one side of each slice of sourdough bread. Ensure the butter covers the entire surface for even browning.

      Assemble the Sandwich: On the unbuttered sides of one slice, layer half of the shredded white cheddar cheese. Arrange the peach slices on top of the cheese before drizzling with one tablespoon of honey. Add a few fresh basil leaves if using, and then top with the remaining cheese.
