Brew 2 shots of espresso using an espresso machine or a stove-top espresso maker. If you don’t have an espresso maker, you can use strong brewed coffee as an alternative.
While the espresso is brewing, gather a cocktail shaker or a jar with a lid. Add the brown sugar to the shaker.
Pour the hot espresso over the brown sugar in the shaker. Close the lid and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until the sugar is fully dissolved and the espresso is frothy.
Fill a glass with ice cubes, then pour the shaken espresso mixture over the ice.
In a separate small bowl, mix the oat milk and vanilla extract together. You can froth the oat milk if desired using a milk frother or simply shake it in a jar until foamy.
Pour the oat milk mixture over the shaken espresso in the glass.
Lastly, sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on top for garnish, and if using, spoon a dollop of oat milk froth.
Notes
Serve in a tall glass with a colorful straw. A cinnamon stick can be added for extra flavor.
