Ingredients

12 small sausage links (pork or turkey)

1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed)

6 strips of bacon (cut in half)

1/2 cup honey

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon chili paste (optional for a kick)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh rosemary (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it’s about 1/8 inch thick.

Cut the puff pastry into rectangles, about 3 inches by 4 inches. You should get approximately 12 pieces.

Pre-cook the sausage links in a skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes, just to get a bit of color and ensure they're partially cooked. Remove and set aside.

Take a piece of puff pastry and place a sausage link in the center. Wrap the pastry around the sausage, then wrap a half strip of bacon around the pastry seam to secure it.

Repeat the process until all sausages are wrapped.

In a small bowl, mix together the honey, Dijon mustard, and chili paste (if using). This will create a sticky glaze.

Place all the wrapped sausages on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each one with the honey glaze, ensuring to coat the bacon as well.

Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper before placing in the oven.

Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the pastry is golden brown.

Halfway through baking, brush with more honey glaze to amplify the stickiness.

Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes before serving.

                          Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 45 minutes | Servings: 12

                            - Presentation Tips: Serve on a rustic wooden board with a small bowl of the remaining honey glaze for dipping. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs for a pop of color and aroma. Enjoy your irresistibly sticky pigs in blankets!
