1 package King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (12 rolls)

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon almond extract

1 large egg, beaten

1/4 cup sour cream

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 cup crushed pineapple (well-drained)

1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (for dusting)

Fresh mint for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Carefully separate the King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls and shape each roll into a flat circle, about 1/2 inch thick, ensuring there's a slight depression in the center. Dust your work surface with flour if needed.

      In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, beaten egg, sour cream, lemon juice, and crushed pineapple. Whisk until smooth and fluffy.

        Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture into the center of each flattened roll.

          If using, sprinkle shredded coconut over the filling.

            Carefully fold the edges of the roll up and over the filling, pinching to seal. Arrange the Danish seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

              Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the Danish are golden brown and puffed.

                Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

                  For an extra touch, drizzle with a quick glaze made from powdered sugar and a splash of milk.
