Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

3 green onions, sliced (divided)

1 cup shredded carrots

1 cup broccoli florets

2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)

Sesame seeds for garnish

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Mix well to create a marinade.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks, for about 5-7 minutes or until no longer pink. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Pour the marinade over the browned beef and stir in half of the sliced green onions. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

In the same pan, add the shredded carrots and broccoli florets, stirring well. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the veggies are tender yet crisp.

To serve, place a generous scoop of the beef and vegetable mixture over a serving of cooked rice in bowls.

Garnish each bowl with the remaining green onions, a sprinkle of sesame seeds, and fresh cilantro if desired.
