Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 lemon, zest and juice

1 teaspoon dried thyme (or fresh, if available)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon slices (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare a Baking Dish: Lightly grease a baking dish with a tablespoon of butter to prevent sticking.

Make the Butter Mixture: In a small saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, lemon zest, and dried thyme. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant, then remove from heat.

Season the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle the lemon juice over the fillets and then season them liberally with salt and pepper.

Add the Butter Mixture: Spoon the lemon garlic butter mixture over the salmon fillets, ensuring each piece is well-coated.

Bake the Salmon: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork (internal temperature should reach 145°F/63°C).

Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven, and drizzle the remaining melted butter from the dish over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon slices on the side.
