12 mozzarella string cheese sticks

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Oil for frying

Marinara sauce for dipping

Begin by placing the mozzarella sticks in the freezer for about 30 minutes. This will help them hold their shape while frying.

    Set up a breading station with three separate dishes: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for mixed breadcrumbs with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

      Remove the mozzarella sticks from the freezer. First, coat each stick in the flour, ensuring they are well covered.

        Next, dip the floured sticks into the beaten eggs, letting any excess egg drip off.

          Finally, roll the sticks in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the crumbs adhere well.

            Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

              Carefully add the breaded mozzarella sticks to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

                Once cooked, use a slotted spoon to transfer the sticks to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

                  Serve the mozzarella sticks hot with warm marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
