Ingredients

12 ounces pappardelle pasta

1 pound ground beef

1 pound ground pork

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

Salt and pepper to taste

3 cups marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

Prepare the Meatballs: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef and pork. Add minced garlic, egg, ricotta cheese, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Stuff the Meatballs: Form large meatballs (about 2 inches in diameter). Take a small amount of mozzarella cheese and press it in the center of each meatball, sealing it in well to prevent the cheese from leaking out during cooking.

Cook the Meatballs: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches, cooking until they are browned on all sides (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from skillet and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the marinara sauce and bring it to a simmer. Return the meatballs to the skillet, cover, and let them simmer in the sauce for 15-20 minutes.

Cook the Pappardelle: Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pappardelle according to package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes, until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Combine: Once the meatballs are cooked through, mix the cooked pappardelle with the sauce and meatballs in the skillet. Stir gently to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.

Serve: Plate the pappardelle with meatballs and sauce, then sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.

                Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 50 minutes | Servings: 4

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the dish in wide, shallow bowls for an elegant look. Drizzle a little extra marinara sauce around the edges for color, and use a sprig of fresh basil as a garnish on top of the cheese.
