Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)

1 cup thinly sliced green bell pepper

1 cup thinly sliced onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup sliced mushrooms

1 cup shredded provolone cheese

1/2 cup beef broth

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon mustard (yellow or Dijon)

4 hamburger buns

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until they begin to soften.

Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the skillet, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until the mushrooms are soft.

Push the vegetable mixture to one side of the skillet. In the cleared area, crumble the ground beef into the skillet, cooking until browned. Season with salt and pepper.

Once the beef is cooked through, stir in the Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and beef broth. Mix everything together, ensuring the ingredients are evenly combined.

Reduce the heat to low, allowing the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes, letting the flavors meld together.

Stir in the shredded provolone cheese, allowing it to melt into the meat mixture.

Toast the hamburger buns lightly, either in a toaster or on a skillet.

Spoon the cheesy beef mixture generously onto the toasted buns.

Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

                    Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 4
