Ingredients

1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

8 oz thinly sliced ribeye steak (or steak of choice)

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 small bell pepper, finely chopped (green or red)

2 cups shredded provolone cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 egg (for egg wash)

Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cook the Steak: In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and sauté the chopped onions and bell peppers until they are soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the sliced steak to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Prepare the Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangular shape, about ¼ inch thick. Cut the dough into strips, approximately 4 inches wide.

Assemble the Breadsticks: On one end of each dough strip, layer a spoonful of the steak and vegetable mixture, then top with a generous handful of both provolone and mozzarella cheese. Fold the other end of the dough strip over the filling to create a pocket. Press the edges to seal tightly.

Brush with Egg Wash: In a small bowl, whisk the egg. Brush the tops of the stuffed breadsticks with the egg wash for a golden finish.

Bake: Place the breadsticks on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Optionally, sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley for a touch of color.
