Ingredients

1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)

4 cups water

1 cup granulated sugar (or honey, to taste)

2 tablespoons culinary lavender buds (fresh or dried)

1/2 teaspoon lavender essential oil (food-grade)

1 cup cranberry juice (or raspberry juice for a deeper color)

Ice cubes

Lemon slices and lavender sprigs for garnish

Instructions

Prepare Lavender Infusion: In a small saucepan, combine the 1 cup of water and lavender buds. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Once it starts to simmer, remove from heat and let steep for about 10-15 minutes to infuse the lavender flavor.

Make the Lemonade Base: In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice, sugar, and the remaining 3 cups of water. Stir until the sugar has dissolved completely.

Strain the Lavender Syrup: After the lavender has steeped, strain it through a fine mesh sieve to remove the buds and pour it into the pitcher with the lemonade mix.

Incorporate Essential Oil and Juice: Add the lavender essential oil and cranberry juice to the pitcher. Stir all the ingredients well to combine. Taste and adjust the sweetness with additional sugar or honey if desired.

Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 1 hour to chill. Serve in glasses filled with ice cubes, garnished with lemon slices and a sprig of lavender.

Final Touch: For an extra touch of flavor, you can lightly sprinkle a few lavender buds on top of each glass before serving.
