Ingredients

3 ripe bananas, mashed

1 cup almond flour

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup vanilla whey protein powder

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

2 large eggs

1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.

Add the eggs, honey (or maple syrup), and applesauce to the mashed bananas. Mix until well combined.

In another bowl, whisk together the almond flour, rolled oats, whey protein powder, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix.

If desired, fold in the chopped walnuts or chocolate chips for added texture and flavor.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
