Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough

1 pound breakfast sausage (mild or spicy based on preference)

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies (Rotel)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and cooked through, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.

Add the cream cheese to the skillet with the cooked sausage and stir until melted and fully combined.

Stir in the Rotel tomatoes (don’t drain), shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and season with salt and pepper. Mix until everything is heated through and well combined. Remove from heat.

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the sausage and cheese mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle.

Roll the dough toward the point tip, wrapping around the filling. Place the rolled crescents point-side down on the baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.

Optional: Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro for an extra burst of flavor.
