Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 lb spicy breakfast sausage

1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes and green chilies (like Rotel), drained

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.

Remove the skillet from heat and add the softened cream cheese, drained diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using). Stir until the mixture is well combined and creamy.

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles on a clean surface.

Place a generous tablespoon of the sausage and cream cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle.

Roll up each triangle, starting from the wide end, and place them seam side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crescents are golden brown and puffed.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
