Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 lb ground pork

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon butter (for frying)

1 cup beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, onion, garlic, egg, Worcestershire sauce, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.

In a large skillet, heat the butter over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches and cook until browned on all sides. This should take about 6-8 minutes. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, sprinkle the flour into the remaining drippings and whisk to combine, cooking for about 1 minute.

Gradually add the beef broth while whisking continuously to prevent lumps, followed by the heavy cream. Continue to whisk until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.

Once the sauce is thickened, return the meatballs to the skillet, coating them in the creamy sauce. Simmer for an additional 5-7 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through.

Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if desired.

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the meatballs over a bed of creamy mashed potatoes or egg noodles, garnished with additional chopped parsley for a pop of color.
