Ingredients

4 cups sourdough bread, cut into 1-inch cubes

1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sourdough bread cubes with olive oil, ensuring all pieces are evenly coated.

Add the minced garlic, oregano, thyme, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the bowl, tossing everything together until the seasonings are evenly distributed.

Spread the seasoned bread cubes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the croutons are golden brown and crispy, turning them halfway through for even baking.

Once done, remove from the oven and let them cool slightly on the baking sheet. Optional: Sprinkle with fresh parsley for an added pop of color and flavor.

Serve warm as a salad topping, in soups, or snacking, and store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week.
