Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped spinach, crumbled feta cheese, minced garlic, oregano, onion powder, pepper, and salt.
Add the beaten egg and breadcrumbs to the mixture. Using your hands, gently combine all the ingredients until just mixed; do not overwork the turkey.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into patties about ¾ inch thick.
Preheat a grill or non-stick skillet over medium heat. Lightly oil the cooking surface.
Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and they are golden brown.
Toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.
Assemble the burgers by placing the turkey patty on the bottom half of the bun, topped with lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion.
Cover with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
Notes
Feel free to use gluten-free breadcrumbs for a gluten-free option.
