Ingredients

For the dough:

3 ½ cups all-purpose flour

¼ cup granulated sugar

2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup whole milk, warmed

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

For the filling:

1 cup fresh strawberries, diced

1 cup cream cheese, softened

½ cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ teaspoon cinnamon

½ cup chopped pecans

For the frosting:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Prepare the dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of the flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Stir well to combine.

Mix wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs. Gradually add this mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring to combine until a shaggy dough forms.

Knead the dough: Gradually add the remaining flour, ¼ cup at a time, as you knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth. Fold in the diced strawberries and chopped pecans.

Roll the dough: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle, about 14x10 inches, on a floured surface. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.

Form the rolls: Starting from the long edge, tightly roll the dough into a cylinder. Pinch the seam to seal and cut into 12 equal pieces.

Second rise: Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover them with a towel, and let them rise for another 30 minutes, until puffy.

Bake the rolls: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.

Make the frosting: While the rolls bake, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth.

Frost and serve: Once the rolls are out of the oven, let them cool slightly. Drizzle the frosting over the warm cinnamon rolls and serve.

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 2 hours | Servings: 12 rolls

                        - Presentation Tips: Serve the rolls on a large platter, garnished with sliced strawberries and a sprinkle of chopped pecans for an inviting look.
