Ingredients

2 cups pretzels, crushed

⅓ cup granulated sugar

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

1 package (6 oz) strawberry gelatin (Jell-O)

2 cups boiling water

2 cups cold water

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a medium bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.

Spread the pretzel mixture evenly into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, pressing down firmly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool completely.

In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.

Carefully fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.

Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.

In another bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in 2 cups of boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved.

Add 2 cups of cold water to the gelatin mixture and stir to combine.

Add the sliced strawberries to the gelatin and gently mix.

Pour the strawberry gelatin mixture over the cream cheese layer in the baking dish.

Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until the gelatin is set and firm.

Once set, cut into squares and serve chilled.
