Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)

2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)

½ teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)

Sprinkles or edible glitter for topping

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard muffin tin or use cupcake liners.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture and beat until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

Scoop about 1 tablespoon of cookie dough and press it into the bottom and sides of each muffin tin cup to form a cup shape. Repeat with all the dough.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

While the cookie cups are cooling, prepare the frosting by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth and creamy.

Once the cookie cups have cooled, fill each cup with the frosting using a piping bag or a knife.

Finally, sprinkle the tops with colorful sprinkles or edible glitter for a festive touch.
