Instructions

Measure and Draft: Start by measuring your bust, waist, hips, and desired length of the dress. On the pattern paper, draft a simple A-line dress silhouette that includes armholes and necklines based on these measurements.

Cut the Fabric: Fold the fabric in half, ensuring that the right sides are together. Lay your drafted pattern on the fold and pin it securely. Cut around the pattern to create the front and back pieces of the dress.

Sew the Sides: Place the front and back pieces right sides together. Sew along the sides of the dress, leaving the armholes open. Use a straight stitch and a 1/4 inch seam allowance for durability.

Make the Neckline: Fold the top edge of the dress down by 1/2 inch and press with an iron. Then fold it down again by another inch to create a clean finish. Pin in place and sew along the edge.

Create Armholes: For the armholes, fold the edges down by 1/2 inch, press them, and then fold again by another 1/2 inch. Pin and sew around to secure.

Hem the Skirt: At the bottom of the dress, fold the hem up by 1/2 inch, press with an iron, then fold it up again to create a tidy edge. Pin and sew all around the bottom of the dress.

Iron for Finish: Once all the seams are sewn, give the entire dress a good press with an iron to ensure everything is flat and well-shaped.

Final Touches: After the dress is ironed, check all seams for any loose threads and trim as needed to give your dress a polished look.

Prep Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 2 hrs | Servings: 1 elegant dress

                    - Presentation Tips: Lay the dress flat on a clean surface or hang it on a stylish hanger. Consider adding a matching belt or accessories to complete the look when worn.
