Ingredients

4 ripe bananas, sliced

1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

2 cups whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 box (12 oz) vanilla wafers

1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Additional banana slices and whipped cream for garnish

Instructions

In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and whole milk until smooth and thickened. Set aside in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes.

In another bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract with an electric mixer until soft peaks form, creating whipped cream.

Once the pudding is set, gently fold half of the whipped cream into the pudding mixture until fully combined.

In a large serving dish or individual cups, begin layering: start with a layer of vanilla wafers at the bottom.

Add a layer of banana slices on top of the wafers, followed by a layer of the pudding mixture.

Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of pudding on top.

Top with the remaining whipped cream and garnish with additional banana slices and a sprinkle of chopped walnuts or pecans, if using.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for the best flavor.

                  Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 4 hours 20 minutes | Servings: 8
