Ingredients

1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes

3 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped

1 teaspoon paprika

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cheesy Mashed Potatoes:

2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and cubed

½ cup heavy cream

½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

Salt and pepper to taste

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Steak Bites: Season the cubed steak with salt, pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Make sure the steak is evenly coated.

Cook the Potatoes: In a large pot, add the cubed potatoes and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.

Mash the Potatoes: Add heavy cream, butter, and shredded cheddar cheese to the drained potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Keep warm.

Sear the Steak Bites: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned steak bites in a single layer. Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Work in batches if necessary.

Make the Garlic Herb Butter: Lower the heat to medium. Add the butter, minced garlic, thyme, and rosemary to the same skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant, stirring frequently. Once melted, toss the steak bites in the garlic herb butter until well coated.

Plate the Dish: Serve a generous portion of cheesy mashed potatoes on each plate, topped with steak bites drizzled with garlic herb butter. Garnish with fresh parsley and chopped green onions for added color.

              Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 45 minutes | Servings: 4

                - Presentation Tips: Serve on warm plates for a nice touch and add a sprinkle of chopped herbs or extra cheese atop the mashed potatoes for an appealing finish.
